Stolen Goods Are Simply No Good

We finally received an inquiry on social media (Woo!) took a while, but we are glad that some people are beginning to notice!  Anyways, this inquiry was regarding someone that had an item stolen from them and wanted to know if it had come through our doors to be pawned.  This is a very common question.  Not only do people ask us to look for personal stolen goods they also tend to assume that it is legal for us to give out information regarding our customers transactions.  This is not the case.  Don’t get me wrong, we do not want to sell you items that have been stolen and we certainly don’t want to benefit from an item you’ve had stolen.  Its heartbreaking when people lose things that are important to them and as always we just want to help.  Instead we set up a system where every single day a list of the items we take in either for pawn or that are sold to us are sent directly to the police department.  They then compare the items to their list of goods that have been reported stolen.  We work together to make sure anything that pops up as stolen is returned to the rightful owner.  The most important thing to do is to immediately report the stolen item to the police, and if anything comes through our doors belonging to you we can get it back it to you ASAP! #LifeHappensWe’reHere #StolenGoodsAreNoGood #LoanUSA
